Haematology

Hematology is a science speciality that deals with the study of blood and all its components. It especially studies blood cells, their morphology, quantity and funciton. Secondly, it focuses on blood coagulation and all factors that contribute to it.

Hematological examination is a very important part of a patient’s examination, without which no doctor can treat. That is why all hospitals and surgeries have a department of clinical hematology. Clinical hematology diagnoses imbalances in a patient’s blood compared to a certain physiological state and thus helps to diagnose a disease. Sometimes it is even possible to make an exact diagnosis on the basis of a hematological examination.
