Endodontics is a treatment of root canal and it is very important for future of a tooth. Such treatment is recommended where decay is complicated and is necessary where there was an inflammation in the tooth or the pulp becomes deceased or injured by hitting. Endodontics is a key method to save a dead tooth in the oral cavity without limitation of its function.

The treatment consists in a thorough cleaning of root canals, removal of the dead tissue and hermetic filling of those canals.

Long-term success of endodontic treatment can be ensured if:
 

• the root canal is deprived of all disturbing material
• the root is sterilized chemically, by ozone or laser
• the root is three-dimensionally hermetically filled with material that ensures hardness and tightness along all its length
• the tooth is after filling prothetically treated (by a crown etc.)

A tooth treated in this way can serve the patient for the rest of their life.

Nickel-titanium root tools are flexible, well copy shape and direction of the canal and they often do it better than manual tools. They also make all the treatment quicker which is appreciated by patients.

The result of canal processing can be even strengthened by disinfection by ozone or by laser in more serious cases.
